PATROL PROCEDURE

Agree times, vehicle, etc. with partner. If not available please arrange alternative time or another partner.

Arrange to collect light, logbook and boards from the previous team.

Inform SAPS sector vehicle that you are patrolling. (072-253-7684). If unobtainable try Sector 5 (072-685-9222) or contact SAPS Florida ( 011-831-7000 ).

Randomly patrol “Florida Park” (Boundaries as per area map)

Report anything suspicious to Sector SAPS by cell phone. If the Sector vehicle does not answer try one of the following committee members who have radios:
Serious emergency only contact Radio Control 951-1156/7/8/9
(if sector unavailable) Flying Squad 10111 -
Use opportunities to “advertise” the activities of the SAPS Sector Police and the Forum and build confidence.

At end of shift “sign off” with SAPS and complete logbook.
